LEED – Green Building Design and Construction

In the training, the credits in all categories in the new version of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, which is the most preferred green building evaluation system of the world, will be examined in detail and information about LEED Certification process and reference standards are given.

In the scope of the training that will be given by the specialist LEED APs in the green building projects in ERKE, The ERKE Green Academy building will also be exhibited with the trainers.

Participants will find opportunities to see green materials on-site at the ERKE Green Academy and learn about systems and products. In addition to theoretical training, it also provides opportunities for on-site visibility of practices as the training is carried out in a platinum-certified green building.

The training is also a preparation for the LEED Green Associate (LEED GA) and LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) exams for those who wish to become green building specialists.

What is LEED?

Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design

The LEED Green Building Rating System is a voluntary standard that defines healthier, more environmentally responsible, and more profitable, high performance buildings than traditional buildings.

LEED Certification Levels

LEED projects are certified in 4 different levels. Projects rated at 110 points in total can get LEED certification with a minimum score of 40 points. As the points earned increase, the certificate level also rises to reach the highest LEED Platinum Certificate.

What is USGBC?

USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) is the institution that developed the green building rating system LEED. Project applications are made to USGBC via LEED Online. It is also responsible for LEED-related support and training.

GBCI is a subsidiary of the USGBC, which certifies buildings and professionals.
